We are proud to be giving back to the animal community. Midtown has partnered with the Austin Humane Society (SPCA) and Town Lake Animal Shelter to donate a groom-per-week to one of their animals in need. Our groomers offer this service, pro bono, so that they may help rescue dogs become healthy and adoptable.

One of the greatest highlights of our job is to hear the success stories from the local shelters about how our donated services have helped a dog find a "forever home". For many of the dogs a professional groom makes them feel better and starts them on the path toward a healthy life. For others it is a chance to get out of the shelter for a little while. The dogs are able to embark on a field trip, receive some special attention from our staff, and get all gussied-up for their return to the shelter. When the animals go back in their kennels they are touchably soft and sporting a fancy bandana.

In addition to the health benefits provided to the animal during their groom, the trip to our spa allows us to observe each animal and report back to the volunteers about different behaviors. This gives the shelter staff great insight into how these dogs will do when they return to the "real world".

The shelter volunteers have been incredible in their diligence transporting these dogs to, and from, our facility on a weekly basis. We're impressed!
