We are proud to be giving back to the animal community. Midtown has partnered with the Austin Humane Society (SPCA) and Town Lake Animal Shelter to donate a groom-per-week to one of their animals in need. Our groomers offer this service, pro bono, so that they may help rescue dogs become healthy and adoptable.

One of the greatest highlights of our job is to hear the success stories from the local shelters about how our donated services have helped a dog find a "forever home". For many of the dogs a professional groom makes them feel better and starts them on the path toward a healthy life. For others it is a chance to get out of the shelter for a little while. The dogs are able to embark on a field trip, receive some special attention from our staff, and get all gussied-up for their return to the shelter. When the animals go back in their kennels they are snuggly soft and sporting a fancy bandana.

Midtown has partnered with Austin Pets Alive to host events and fundraisers in support of this successful rescue organization. The first annual Midtown Muttminster Dog Show in October 2011 was a huge success and raised upwards of $2,000 for APA.

Additionally, we have worked with Blue Dog Rescue, Love-A-Bull, Lil Paws, Heart of Texas Lab Rescue, and many other non-profits/rescue organizations through silent raffle donations.
