Midtown is a small boarding facility which allows for more one-on-one interaction and Tender Loving Care. We offer individual kennels in a climate-controlled boarding facility.

No one wants to sit in a kennel all day !

The premise behind our boarding is an emphasis on exercise and play so that pets do not sit in kennels all day. Your pet will be rotated frequently throughout the day for playtime in our large, outdoor playground. We offer a large back yard and two large, private runs so that we may accomodate animals of many sizes, energy levels, and play styles. Our boarding dogs play all day and sleep soundly at night! For an additional fee, parents may opt to have their dog taken for a leisurely "pamper time" walk in the park with a staff member.

We feed our boarders "Precise" dog food brand and "Solid Gold" cat food; both are super-premium, all-natural foods. Additionally, all animals are bedded down in plush, fleece linens. Our climate-controlled boarding area keeps the animals comfortable, no matter what the season. We play soft, relaxing spa-music at night to lull our little visitors into a gentle sleep. Our professional and caring staff gets to know each and every animal during their visit and takes extra steps to make sure all pets are happy and comfortable.

 

General Information:

ALL DOGS MUST BE SPAYED / NEUTERED FOR BOARDING

** All new pets must complete 1 night of evaluation boarding before long-term boarding is allowed. Long-term boarding is considered 2 nights, or more. This allows our kennel techs to oversee the health and behavior of each pet and report to the owner whether or not future boarding is permitted. Please contact us to schedule your pet's first visit!

Mon ~ Fri 8:00 am - 5:45 pm

Saturday 8:00 am - 4:45 pm

Sunday 4:30 pm - 5:30 pm, only

Facility Viewing Hours:

Mon - Fri 4:00 - 5:00 pm,

Sat 3:30 - 4:30 pm

Our Policies:

* Dogs and cats must be social with people

All dogs MUST have a collar and an i.d. tag with their NAME

(** A collar will be provided, at owner's expense, for pets who arrive without one. Fee is $10.oo / non-refundable)

(**gentle leaders, harnesses, and choke-chains do no qualify as "collars")

Dogs must arrive on a leash

Cats must arrive in a carrier

Pets must be between the ages of 6 months and 12 years of age and in excellent health

We do not accept puppies under 6 months. Puppies must have all rounds of shots and be spayed/neutered. No exceptions.

All animals must be current on the following vaccinations:

Dogs = Rabies, DHLPP, Bordatella (kennel cough)

Bordatella can be a "special request" vaccination and may not be done automatically by your vet. Please confirm with your vet that your pet is current as we do not make exceptions to this vaccination.

Cats = Rabies, FVRCP, Feline Leukemia

Vaccination records may be faxed to us at 512-477-8078. Otherwise, copies may be provided upon arrival. **Pets are not allowed to stay at the facility, for any amount of time, without confirmation of vaccinations.

Dogs who do not play well with others will be allowed private play time

General medicines will be administered by our staff. Please label medicines and provide detailed instructions. Animals with any contagious conditions are NOT allowed at our boarding facility.

You are welcome to bring your pet's own food. Please label with instructions. Feel free to portion their food (with sandwich baggies) if diet is a concern.

Please do not bring linens. We provide nice, soft blankets and pillows.

All personal items must be labeled with the Animal's first name and Owner's last name. (** Midtown Grooming is not responsible for any lost or damaged items)

We do not allow chewies, bones, rawhide, or toys in kennels due to choking hazards

A bath is REQUIRED if your dog is staying over 3 nights. (** Owners may opt-out of the bath. However, a bath is recommended because dogs get very dirty while playing in the back yard ; they are having fun!!!!!)

We offer bath-outs and/or groom-outs according to the availability on our appointment book.

In order to keep a flea-free facility, animals found to have fleas will immediately be given a flea bath, or capstar pill, at owner's expense.

Pets left after closing will be boarded for another night, at owner's expense.

Animals with serious illnesses, or injuries, must board with their veterinarian.

All boarding requires a reservation. Please call to book your pets' stay!

We may require a credit card number to book a reservation. We require 72 hours notice of cancellation. Failure to give proper notice of cancellation results in a $50.oo charge to the card, per animal, for lost business. Please call to cancel so that we can accomodate other clients who need to board their animals.

Please book in advance for all holidays. We will fill up!

Upon drop-off, please allow yourself 5 - 10 minutes to fill out your boarding contract, thoroughly, and to discuss instructions with a staff member. Please give yourself enough time when heading to the airport! In order to provide the best care possible our kennel techs like to be up to date with every animal's special conditions and newest behaviors. We require a fresh boarding contract every time your pet arrives!

Boarding Prices:

$25.oo / night - per dog

$22.oo / night - per cat

Boarding rates include kennel, linens, premium food, abundant play-time and expert care.

Al La Carte Boarding Prices:

Meds ~ $2.oo (per administration)

(** we do not administer medicines to cats, unless it can be put in a food bowl and willingly consumed by the cat)

Pamper-Time Walk (with Dog Walker) ~ $10.oo/per walk ~ a 15 minute jaunt through our beautiful, Clarksville neighborhood. Dogs must be leash trained to be taken for a neighborhood walk.
